“Stories are a communal currency of humanity.”
My story
Words have always been my go-to.
So it felt only natural to end up in journalism school, and at a newspaper after that.
I got my career start at The Straits Times, Singapore’s national daily, where I spent more than seven years on the sports desk.
During my time as a correspondent there, I covered a wide variety of events, including the Olympic Games.
In 2017, I felt it was time to pivot and gain experience in other areas. That’s when I moved to Hong Kong to join the South China Morning Post, where I helped manage the paper’s social media.
I returned in 2021 to Singapore, where I have since been based as a freelancer.
I’ve worked with partners in various sectors to write, sub-edit, as well as brainstorm and create content across platforms.
My work has been published in newspapers, as well as corporate and government publications.
I continue to be deeply passionate about sports reporting.
